Stop Rottweiler Barking Now!

Are you kept awake at night or going nuts because of your dog’s incessant barking? Well, it is quite hard to stop Rottweiler barking because it is his way of vocalizing or expressing what he feels. After all, dogs do not communicate in the same manner as humans. But if you have the patience and if you are ready and willing to deal with this problem, then here are a few ways you can minimize, if not stop, your Rottweiler’s barking

You need to understand that dogs bark for a reason, and that some barking is actually controllable. Figure out why he barks. It could be someone invading his territory, to warn you of something, or simply to get your attention. If this is something that happens often and he refuses to stop, do not try to stop him by yelling at him. Instead of turning to negative reinforcement, try to put your dog at ease. Don’t put your dog into a situation where he will feel the need to defend his territory, such as bringing a guest to your home. Remember that your Rottweiler sees you as his pack leader; his master and as such, you can take charge. Let your dog know that you have everything in your control. In that case, it would be to either keep your dog in a different area or receive your guest in another part of the house. Distracting your dog works just as well.

But by far, the best and most basic way to stop Rottweiler barking is by training your dog to “speak” and “be quiet”. These two commands will control your dog’s behavior by letting him know not to bark when it is not necessary. It is best to teach your dog these commands early on in order to keep him from developing a problem with this sort of behavior.
