Interpreting the Meaning of a Dog’s Whine – the Key to Stop Rottweiler Whining

As humans, we have learned to use language as a way to communicate with others how we feel and what we want. Animals too, have their own language which we can be sure that they can understand among themselves. However, it is hard for them to understand us and in the same way, it’s hard for us to understand exactly what they want and how they are feeling at any given time. Whining is a dog’s way to communicate how it feels or what it wants to do. A rottweiler will whine as a response to what is happening around it, or when it is in pain, unhappy or scared of being alone. To stop rottweiler whining, you need to find out the reason why it is in pain or what is causing it to be scared. If your rottweiler has been with you for some time and it hasn’t displayed any unusual behavior and never whined in the past, it is most likely to be sick or hurt if it starts to whine. It could be condition that warrants being brought to the veterinarian. What would make it worse is for its owner to punish it for whining. You cannot stop rottweiler whining by scolding your dog.

Your dog may whine because of separation anxiety. You can stop rottweiler whining by teaching it to get used to being separated from you by leaving it for short periods and coming back. You will then increase the length of time you are away gradually but always coming back to reassure the dog. You may be tempted to return immediately when your dog whines but you want to teach the dog who’s the boss (it’s you) and you will only return when it’s time for you to return and not because the dog whines and demands that you come back to it. The whining will eventually get less and when that happens, you should tell the dog it’s good and give it lots of the praise it deserves when it doesn’t whine. The key to stop rottweiler whining is to become aware of the cause of its whining. If you know the reason, then you can take steps to stop it.
