If your Rottweiler tends to chase cars, make sure that you keep him on a leash when he is outside. Never let your dog run outside freely and unsupervised. If your dog tends to chase people around, especially when playing in the yard, do not encourage his behavior by indulging him in this sort of play. Chasing may be a fun way to play, but it instills aggressive behavior. Once he starts this play, turn your back to him and pay attention to him only when he has calmed down. If you have trained your dog to know the command “sit”, then this should be easy. Use this command when he starts chasing, and use it consistently.
